The Missing Inmate: My Mental Health Battle
Thank you for sharing yourselves and your lives with others. We were apart of the church you served at – we were so devastated and heartbroken at the situation but know that Satan is alive and well. We prayed for you and worried/wondered about how you were getting though it all. Unfortunately we have seen devastation like this so many times in churches. Most have no “rest of the story” which leaves me feeling sad and hurt. Knowing you both sought help, guidance, and fought the fight to know God’s will for your lives – means to me that there is hope and that Satan DOESN’T HAVE TO WIN!
Thank you again for opening up and sharing – God is using something terrible to make something helpful and beautiful for you and soooooo many others!
God bless you, now and always. Continue to fight the fight and win the race you have been called to by Jesus Christ our Lord.
I don’t know you, and I’m honestly not sure how I came to click on the link, but I stumbled across Part 3, and read my way backwards from there.
Listen, I am so glad you shared this. My husband and I have both battled sexual addictions and sinful behavior in the past, and as newlyweds, we’re anxious to keep those behaviors in the past and not allow them to rule our present or future.
We’re also parenting a son, and I’m desperate for him not to fall the way we did. Your testimony of God’s power in your lives is a huge encouragement to me. as well as a sobering warning of the need to be vigilant in my own pursuit of purity.
Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your story, difficult as it is. I cried as I read both sides of this story and saw myself in both of you.
God is using you, and I’m praying for you this evening as I reflect on what I’ve just read and allow Him to speak to me through it. Thank you so much.
